Our Team

Jeffrey Baum

Jeffrey has over 30 years of experience working in the field of Seniors Housing. Jeffrey’s unique expertise has been called upon to testify in the Ontario Supreme Courts as an expert in the field of barrier-free/seniors housing, design and construction. Jeffrey is regularly hired by various levels of government and private corporations to assess the needs of the ageing demographic. He also works for most of Ontario’s major insurance companies and Personal Injury law firms. With Jeffrey’s particular competence, various retirement home owners and operators have called upon him to assist in better understanding the needs of seniors and ageing in place. This has allowed Succession Development Corporation to expand its business and be involved in a number of extraordinary retirement home opportunities.

Steven Cohen

Steven is a qualified professional Quantity Surveyor who starting working with the Altus Group Cost Consulting (formerly Helyar & Associates) in 1994 as a senior estimator/cost consultant and was involved in the preparation of the construction budgets and the financial monitoring of construction projects on behalf of developers, banks and carious other lenders. He then worked with the Daniels Corporation, a major residential developer, in the capacity of senior estimator/contracts manager and was involved in various residential condominium projects and seniors housing developments. Steven’s experience includes, amongst others, the construction of NY Towers in North York with a construction value of approximately $150 million, No 1 City Centre in Mississauga with a construction value of approximately $120 million, Amica at Swan Lake, Amica at City Centre, Amica at Erin Mills and Amica at Villa Da Vinci. In 2004 Steven joined Succession Development Corporation bringing his wide range of construction knowledge and experience to enhance the scope of services already being provided.

Robert Hood

Robert has been working in the Construction industry since 1981. He started in the Low-Rise industry through a joint venture between George Brown College’s Construction Management program and the Toronto Home Builders Association (now named BILD). He has worked with large builder/developers such as Monarch Construction, Glenway Builders and Regal Crest, managing all aspects of development, site management, contract management, procurement and customer service. In 1992 he diversified into the commercial building territory for the technology, automotive, and medical sectors, working for companies such as Ford, MAGNA, and MDS Laboratories. In 2004 Robert joined the team at Succession Development Corporation to work in the seniors housing field. Combining his past and current experience, he brings a wide variety of construction techniques, project management skills, building science knowledge, and customer service to our projects.

Anna Holan

Anna has been with Succession Development Corporation since 2003 as an Executive Assistant. Her hands-on experience over SDC’s growth has given her a special expertise and understanding of the required construction industry documentation standards and procedures. Anna deals directly with our clients and our construction teams at all levels, including project follow-up with our clients and the trades, and ensures all warranties are in place.

Noula Malo

Noula is a member of the senior management team and has been with Succession Development Corporation since 2013. Noula is involved in the corporate strategy, business development and all major financial matters. Noula brings commitment to the continued development of the finance and accounting functions of the organization. With her strong understanding of sound business ethics and the importance of financial control and reporting, Noula is responsible to deliver and maintain accurate financial records for all projects which can be accessed at any time.

Monika Lesniak

Monika has been with Succession Development Corporation since 2015 as an assistant in Finance and Accounting. Monika has over 15 years of experience in financial management. She is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of all accounting construction documentation for all the projects and works closely with our clients, lenders, and cost consultants.
